Burcu Yalman, PCC, ACPC


Burcu is the Founder and Managing Director of Coachzone. She is an ICF (International Coach Federation) certified professional coach (PCC) and an Organizational System Relationship Coach (team coach). As a coach, facilitator and trainer, she works on leadership, enhancement of dialogue and climate in the work environment. Also, she is an ACPC (Adler Certified Professional Coach) and a Faculty Member in Adler International School of Coaching – training new professional coaches. Since 2011, Burcu has been acting as Country Manager for Pluribus. She has worked in a large number of Diversity & Inclusion projects in Turkey and the CEE and MENA region, mainly focusing on Unconscious Bias, Gender Balance, Generation Cultures. As a personal interest and a feeling of social responsibility, Burcu carries various work on women leadership and empowerment, such as “Coming Into Your Own”, one of the most reputable inner leadership programs offered to women for 20 years worldwide, which she now delivers in Turkey and internationally in collaboration with the Ashland Institute (USA).


Burcu Yalman has received over 500 training hours on professional coaching, team coaching, organizational and relationship systems coaching, and leadership from Adler Learning International, Positrak Coaching and Training (Canada), ORSC, Ashland Institute (USA), Shadow Work Institute (UK) and Council Guide Training. Her coaching hours amounts to 2500 hrs.


Burcu brings over 20 years of experience in consulting, business development, corporate finance, gained at different managerial roles in various international and local organizations and as an entrepreneur in Turkey and the United States. Throughout her career, her entrepreneurial spirit, excitement for new endeavors and desire to experience cross-cultural environments, have led Burcu to create, initiate and manage new businesses, operations, structures and projects in diverse settings and countries.


She worked at the World Bank headquarters in Washington DC, as a Privatization and Private Sector Development Specialist, undertaking assignments in Jordan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Romania. Upon her return to Turkey, she joined Global Securities as Corporate Finance Manager, and managed the company’s privatization, merger and acquisition projects in the local market and in Bulgaria, Romania, Egypt, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. In her subsequent roles as Manager of Foreign Operations and then Director of Corporate Services, she assumed the responsibility of establishing and managing Global Securities’ international operations; and then creating the Group’s Human Resources function. Burcu’s next employment was with Euro-Phoenix, a boutique corporate finance advisory firm with operations in Central and Eastern Europe. As their Country Manager, she established company’s presence in Turkey, formed a team and initiated and managed several corporate finance peojects. This experience was followed by her opening her own business and finance advisory firm Fora Corporate Finance, serving primarily to foreign private equity funds and local SMEs in their investment decisions and M&A projects.


Burcu holds a Bachelors of Art degree in Business Administration from Boğaziçi University and an MBA degree in Finance and Management Sciences from George Washington University. She speaks English fluently and has a good command of French. She enjoys music, reading, meditation and travelling. As a mother of two children and a lover of nature, she likes to spend time with her family in the nature and on the sea.
